Esther Galiley, 84, of Wyomissing went to her "Heavenly Home" Tuesday, August 4th, through faith in Yeshua (Jesus), the promised Messiah.
Esther was born January 29, 1931, in Ottawa, Ontario, daughter of the late Issac and Ivy (Ashton) Finestone.
A graduate of Chattanooga, Tennessee, High School in 1948, Esther subsequently attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 1953.
She was a self-employed Commercial/Fine Artist the rest of her life. During the 1950s, the New York Art Directors Guild recognized her talent by presenting her with an award for art seen on television.
The loving wife of Leonard Galiley, they were married 58 years ago on June 29, 1957. Esther and Leonard were blessed with three children: Messianic Rabbi Dr. Stephen Galiley of Congregation Beit Shalom, Utica, New York; Sarah and husband, Tzachi Danor, who are with Jews for Jesus in Israel; and Susan, wife of Irving Salzman, of Livingston, New Jersey.
Esther had nine grandchildren: Joshua, Shimon, Yael, Noa, Elisheva, Jacob and Shira (with two deceased, Levi and Yohanna).
In addition, Esther is survived by two brothers, Nathaniel Finestone of Mountainside, New Jersey, and Stephen Finestone of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
The funeral took place on Friday, August 7th, at the Great Valley Cemetery in Malvern, PA.
Henninger Funeral Home, Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
