Ethel M. (Kurtz) Sensenig, 85, a resident of Fairmount Homes, passed away on April 25, 2026.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. and Edna B. (Martin) Kurtz.

Ethel was the loving wife of Leon D. Sensenig, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Ethel was a homemaker and a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference). She was a very supportive and helpful wife to Leon in his business of cattle hauling and farming. She enjoyed singing, cooking and spending time with her family.

Ethel is survived by her husband, Leon, her children, Brenda J. Shirk wife of Eugene of Lititz, Kenneth L. Sensenig husband of Mabel (Martin) of Mount Joy and Grace E. Hoover wife of Roy of Stevens, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren,

Ethel is survived by siblings, Grace Ann Sensenig wife of Jonas, Leon Kurtz husband of Mary Louise and Ralph Kurtz husband of Mary and her sister in law, Jane Kurtz.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Kurtz Jr. and Earl Kurtz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 9:30 AM at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Church Road, Leola PA 17540 with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fairmount Homes Wheat Ridge Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata PA 17522.
