Eva M Shirk

Eva M. Shirk, 78, of 200 S. Churchtown Rd., Narvon, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 at her home. Her husband, Martin M. Shirk, survives.

Born in Upper Leacock Twp., she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. and Eva W. (Martin) Nolt.

Eva was a homemaker and a member of Churchtown Mennonite Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by eight children: Mary Ann married to James Zimmerman, East Earl, John David married to Vera (Hoover) Shirk, Himrod, NY, Alvin N married to Irene (Martin) Shirk, Narvon, Edna married to Harry Snyder, Woodbury, Ellen married to Allen Zimmerman, Owen, WI, Martin, Jr. married to Susan (Brubacher) Shirk, Narvon, Samuel married to Darlene (Nolt) Shirk, Narvon, Louise married to James Zimmerman, Narvon, 59 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, three siblings: Mabel married to Eli Weaver, Leola, Edna widow of David Martin, New Holland, Samuel married to Verna (Burkholder) Nolt, Leola.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Weaver and Paul Nolt and two great-grandsons.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 9 a.m. at the Alvin Shirk home, 240 S. Churchtown Rd., Narvon with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Churchtown Mennonite Church with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Alvin Shirk home on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
