Evelyn B. Gill

Evelyn B. Gill, 95, of Honey Brook, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Tel Hai Retirement Community after a lengthy illness.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edwin T. and Matilda (Weiss) Bumm. Her husband, William A. Gill, Jr., died in 1997.

Evelyn worked for 19 years as a clerk for the federal government at the Navy Supply Depot in Philadelphia. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and knitting.

Surviving are two sons, Leonard, married to Arlene Gill of West Chester, and William, III, married to Cheryl Gill of Loveland, CO; two granddaughters, Christina, married to Andy Stallings, and Karen, married to Sean Reilly of Honey Brook; four great-grandchildren, Samantha and Alexa Stallings of West Chester, and Chase and Jake Reilly of Honey Brook; a two sisters, Catherine Schaudt of Pottstown, and Ruth, married to William Beer of Richlandtown; and a brother, Leonard, married to Dorothy Bumm of Blue Ball.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 17 at 11 am at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Timothy Herr officiating. There will be no visitation before the service. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
