Evelyn D. Mitchell

Evelyn D. Mitchell, 96, of Ephrata, passed away on February 1, 2026. Evelyn was born in Terre Hill, to her late parents, Leo and Mary N. (Lichty) Gable. Her husband, Owen S. Mitchell, passed away on February 7, 2020.

Evelyn was a woman who loved her family dearly. She was a homemaker, an avid reader, and a member of Trinity EC Church of Terre Hill.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Spotts and her husband Ronald, of Beavertown, PA, Jackie Rudolph and her husband Bruce, of Terre Hill, and Steve Mitchell and his wife Pamela, of Mountville. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was predeceased by a son, Todd Mitchell, and her siblings, Gerry Putt, Alston Gable, and Carl Gable.

At Evelyn’s request, all services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to C. Stanley Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
