Ezra Stoltzfus went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 96 from his residence at Fairmount Homes. Ezra was born on April 15, 1929, at Paradise, PA. Ezra was a member of Petra Church.
Ezra was married to Lovis Kramer for 56 years. After being a widower for a few years, on October 23, 2010, he married Elizabeth Bell, who survives him. Ezra is also survived by a sister, Violet Sollenberger.
Ezra grew up in the Paradise/Kinzers area during the Great Depression and worked for his dad on an egg route, taking eggs to Philadelphia to sell. Ezra often talked about a very bad accident he was in at age 15. While riding a pony, he ran into a tractor-trailer, killing the pony. Ezra was in the hospital, unconscious for 11 days with a serious brain injury and other injuries. He was not expected to survive, but the prayers of many people mad a difference.
Ezra served his country as a member of the U. S. Army, stationed in Hawaii from 1947-1949. He also loved to hunt, an activity that he enjoyed for over 70 years.
Ezra’s Celebration of Life service will be held at Fairmount Homes, Wheat Ridge Chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. All are invited to attend. Arrangements are entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.Hom
