Fannie H. Herr, 87, of 515 White Oak Rd., New Holland, died Thursday, Dec. 27 at her home. She is survived by Eli W. Herr, her husband of 66 years.
Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late John and Lydia (High) Weaver.
Fannie was a homemaker and a member of Centerville Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children: Edwin married to Judith (Gochenaur) Herr, Gorin, MO; John married to Carolyn (Baker) Herr, New Holland; Eli, Jr., married to Mabel (Musser) Herr, Ephrata; Alma married to Amos Oberholtzer, Owen, WI; Amy married to Jerry Martin, Guys Mills; Melvin married to Gloria (Newswanger) Herr, Bethel; June married to Rodney Sensenig, Flora, IN; 39 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary widow of Elvin Martin, Fairmount Homes and Lydia married to David Leinbach, East Earl.
She was preceded in death by two stillborn sons and an infant daughter, Ruth; a granddaughter Carla Herr; brothers David and John Weaver and a sister Eva Weaver.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 31 at 1:30 pm at Centerville Mennonite Church, Sensenig Rd., Martindale, with Bishop Harold Good, Bishop Wilmer Weaver, Roy Zimmerman, and Brenden Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Martindale Mennonite Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Centerville Mennonite Church on Sunday from 3 – 5 pm and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
