Fay V. Gehman

Fay V. Gehman, 80, of Kinzers, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center after lengthy illness.

Born in Bird-in-Hand, she was the daughter of the late Curtis F. and Minnie Mae (Englert) Sweigart. She would have been married 54 years on March 25 to Barry Gehman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Family Church in New Holland and she enjoyed collecting Cabbage Patch Dolls.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son Dale, married to Claresse Gehman of Ephrata; two daughters, Minnie, married to Jim Wiker, Jr. of Kinzers, and Cindy Weiser of Leola; two grandchildren, Heather Ann Saxton and Christopher Weiser; three step grandchildren, Jimmy Martin, Jeff Martin, and Gail Funk; six step-great grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Buzzard of New Holland, Myra, married to Harry Harsh of New Holland, Jean Mowrer of New Holland, and Dorothy Binkley of Akron; and two brothers, Galen, married to Elsie Sweigart of New Holland, and John, married to Linda Sweigart of Narvon.

Preceding her in death is a brother, Curtis E. Sweigart; and a sister, Alverta Diem.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2 at 10:30 AM at Grace Family Church, 415 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557 with the Reverend Tim Hodge officiating. Interment will be in the Zeltenreich Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Monday from 9 – 10:30 AM.
