Fern Edith Nolt

Fern Edith Nolt, 51, of Ephrata, passed away on September 16, 2026, at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. Fern was born in Ephrata to her late parents, Michael S. and Edith R. (Burkholder) Nolt.

Fern was a third-grade teacher at Springville Mennonite School and enjoyed piecing comfort tops for CAM. She was a member of Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).

Fern is survived by her stepbrother, William H. Nolt and her stepbrother-in-law, Joseph Peachey. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews, several great nieces and great nephews and numerous other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Fern was predeceased by her stepsister, Mary Ann Peachey and her stepsister-in-law, Irene Nolt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Springville Mennonite Church, 598 Springville Road, Ephrata, PA, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Viewings will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Middle Creek Mennonite Fellowship Center, 520 PA-897, Reinholds, PA. Burial will occur in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the care team at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy, for the exceptional care that they provided to Fern.
