Fern I. (Youndt) Oberholtzer, 101, of East Earl, formerly of Germania and Wellsboro, passed away on December 9, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Denver, she was the daughter of the late Alvin B. and Frances L. (Lorah) Youndt.
She was the wife of the late Donald L. Oberholtzer, with whom she married in 1944 and shared 51 years of marriage until the time of his passing in 1995.
She was a homemaker and attended Muddy Creek Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, baking and reading. In her earlier years, she would have helped her family at the market at their butcher stand, Youndt Brothers.
Fern is survived by her children, Janis Haas, of East Earl, David Y. Oberholtzer, husband of Pam of Capron, IL and Dennis Y. Oberholtzer husband of Karen of Selinsgrove, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Jesse Weitzel, her sisters, Mae Henley, Edith Weinhold and Grace Hirneisen and brothers, Luke, Robert, Lester, Ray, Bill, Jim Youndt and Rev. Mark Youndt.
