Ferne M. Brown

Ferne M. Brown, 91 of Lititz, died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Max and Sarah (Kraft) Segeler. Her husband, Leon A. Brown, died Dec. 19, 2003.

Before her marriage Ferne worked as a stenographer for New York Life Ins. Co. Later she worked from 1968 to 1970 as an LPN at the Reading Hospital and from 1975 to 1980 as a Bank Teller in Straustown.

She formerly attended Hopewell Christian Fellowship where she served as librarian and later she attended Bethany Grace Fellowship.

Surviving is a daughter Christine B. Brown of Sayre, PA.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, is a sister, June Lochman.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 10 AM at the Hopewell Christian Fellowship Cemetery, 2286 Hopewell Road, Elverson, PA with the Reverend Leon Shirk officiating.
