Florence A. Beiler

Floss Beiler, age 82, of New Holland, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Maple Farm Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 4, 1934 near Gap, PA. Most of her younger years were spent near Spring City, PA. She was the daughter of the late Earl E. and Mary (Raum) Howe.

She is survived by her husband Allen R. Beiler and a son Mark T. Beiler, both of New Holland.

She lost her battle with Parkinson’s disease on this earth, but gained eternal life in Heaven.

Floss had a passion for young children, as evidenced by her many years as a Sunday School Teacher and co-founder of the New Holland Community Nursery School. Her former pupils (now adults) still remember Big Wheel Day at the close of each nursery school year.

She was a dental assistant for both Dr. Rodney Hoober and Dr. Scott Wallace from 1959 to 2014 in the Morgantown/Elverson area.

In her teen age years, she worked in photography as a darkroom technician.

Floss was a gentle person and was greatly loved by her pupils and dental patients.

She was a Scots-Irish descent and had a great sense of humor.

She helped her husband through electronics school while living for two years in Chicago.

She most recently was a member of Christian Fellowship church, New Holland, PA, where she was pre-school coordinator for several years.

In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by two sisters; Reta, married to Leroy Sheats of Pocomoke, MD, and Mary Lou Keim of Spring City, PA.

Her favorite flower was white daisies.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10 at 11 am at Christian Fellowship, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA 17557, with the Reverend David Horst officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, from 6:30 – 8 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, and on Friday, from 10 - 11 am at Christian Fellowship Church.
