Florence E. Weaver

Florence E. Weaver, 87, formerly of East Earl, died Friday, January 11 at Ephrata Manor.

Born in Union Grove, she was the daughter of the late David N. and Frances B. (Hoover) Weaver.

Florence studied piano for 20 years and taught it for 50 years. In 2006, she wrote a booklet “Reflections and Praises”. She memorized much Scripture in her lifetime and was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church.

Surviving are three siblings: Kathryn Martin, Reinholds; David Weaver, Honey Brook; and John Weaver, West Chester.

She was preceded in death by a brother Hoover Weaver.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 2 pm at Weaverland Mennonite Church. A visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 1:30 – 2 pm. At Florence’s request, burial will be private in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mennonite Central Committee, P. O. Box 500, Akron, PA 17501.
