Florence A. Weber, 95, a resident of Garden Spot Village, passed away three and a half hours short of her 96th birthday, on Friday, November 3, 2023.
She was the wife of the late Raymond M. Weber who died in 2011. Born in Witmer, she was the daughter of the late Aldus and Ida Wenger Hershey.
Florence was a homemaker and a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church where she had been active in the sewing circle. She was an accomplished seamstress and had made countless diapers and baby sets for MCC. Her interests include gardening and flowers.
Surviving are three daughters, Elaine wife of Gerald Kurtz of Morgantown, Janice wife of Carl Campbell of Mooresville, NC, and Sherlyn wife of Elton Horst of Leola; a son, Keith wife of Karen (Shirk) Weber of Leola; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Macie Haller, brother Warren Hershey and by sisters, Elma Peachey, Irene Hershey and Rhoda Hershey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 10:00 A.M. at the chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be private in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Garden Spot Village.
