Floyd G. Martin

Floyd G. Martin, 83, of East Earl, passed away at home on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

He was the husband of the late Doris E. Hetrick Martin who died February 21, 2023. Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Phares and Susie Gehman Martin.

Floyd owned and operated the Floyd G. Martin Garage for the past 61 years. Floyd was an accomplished diesel mechanic and was happiest when he was fixing 18 Wheelers. He was a member of St. Stephens Reformed Church in New Holland. In his spare time, he could often be found in Ocean City, Maryland on his boat or riding his electric scooter.

Surviving is a daughter, Wanda M. Martin of East Earl; three grandchildren, Christine Yanarella of Leola, Casey Martin of Terre Hill, and Curshane husband of Steph Eby Martin of East Earl; four great grandchildren, Kyra, Caden, Kale and Kelsey; a brother, Eugene husband of Sharon Landis Martin; and a sister, Irene Weaver. He was preceded in death by siblings Raymond Martin, Mildred Hollinger, and Lydia Martin.

Services and interment were private and held at the convenience of the family. If desired, contributions in Floyd’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
