Frances T. Lehecka

Frances T. “Fran” (Catalano) Lehecka, 82, of Akron, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Fairmount Homes after a short illness. She was the loving wife of Richard R. Lehecka, with whom she shared over 59 years of marriage.

Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Florence (Grasso) Catalano.

Frances was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, New Holland, where she participated in many church activities.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children: Anthony Lehecka, husband of Judy, of Dumont, NJ, and Theresa Smith, wife of Peter, of Kent, England; two sisters: Josie Trapani of Coram, NY, and Pauline Giarrocco of Broomall, PA; and a granddaughter, Emily Rose, of E. Northport, NY.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, PA 17557 with Father Walter Guzman officiating. Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Beck Funeral Home, 315 East Main St., New Holland PA 17557.
