Frederick L. Peterson, 79, of Denver, has gone Home to be with his Lord Jesus and Heavenly Father. His wife of 49 years, Charlene J. (Loreno), survives.
Born in Junction City, KS, he was the son of the late Willard Peterson and Ruby Mae (Chapman) Pollard.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Fred was an electrical engineer, and worked at Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, Martin Marietta in Maryland and Goodyear in Ohio.
He was a member of Calvary Church in Lancaster. Throughout his life he enjoyed leading Bible studies, and playing Bluegrass guitar music and the harmonica.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Kristin married to David Hing, Paris, France, and a granddaughter Coralie Kate.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Peterson.
His family is grateful to God for his life, and to Heartland Hospice and the caregivers at Senior Helpers who assisted in making his final days at home as comfortable as possible.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 3 PM at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with Chaplain John Lanza officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM. Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Fred had a heart for helping people.
