G. Robert Ream

G. Robert Ream, 91, formerly of Bowmansville, died on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Zerbe Retirement Community.

He was the husband of the late Ruth A. Ramsey Ream who died in 2010. Born in Gap, he was the son of the late Edwin M. and Emma Matilda Means Ream

Robert had worked for the Witmer Co. and then was a self-employed plumber for over 20 years. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He enjoyed being a member of the Gap Male Chorus. Robert was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two sons, Barry Ream fiancé of Toby Brenizer of Little River, SC, and Robert husband of Lynn Ream of Lancaster; a daughter, Brenda wife of Gary Hornberger of Denver; a son-in-law, Floyd Heuyard of Bowmansville, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Heuyard, an infant daughter Jane Ream, a step great grandson Cody Bonholtzer, and numerous siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 2, at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 753 Mt. Zion Road, Narvon, PA. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Ream’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
