Garrison Robert Hostetter

Garrison Robert Hostetter, born on April 3rd, 2008 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully and went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 28th, 2024. Garrison is no longer in pain and is now living in glory! We have the joy of knowing his legacy lives on through the many lives he saved by organ donation through Gift of Life!

Garrison is the son of Robert Aaron and Mindy Marie (Frank) Hostetter of Pequea. Surviving beside his parents are his siblings, Caroline Marie, Bethany Edna, Lincoln Frank, Jaynie James, and Alaina Lynn Hostetter. Also grieving are his paternal-grandparents, James Wilbur and Mary Louise (Hurst) Hostetter, Sr., his maternal-grandparents, Donald Lynn and Kathy Marie (Dabler) Frank, Sr., and his maternal great grandmother, Elnora Leaman Frank.

Garrison had many talents and hobbies, some of those include: playing guitar (electric and acoustic), dirt-biking, drawing, winning at chess, and playing the drums. Garrison spent hours outside building dirt-bike tracks with jumps through the woods on his family farm in the company of his friends. Garrison was witty and always had something to say which made those around him either laugh or roll their eyes. He was an extremely hard-worker and had many passions that he poured hours into.

Garrison attended Encounter Church with his family and Lord’s House of Prayer youth group on Wednesday nights. Garrison was a sophomore at Dayspring Christian Academy, where he excelled in all his subjects. He was a model student and achieved good grades, always producing quality work. Garrison thrived in the arts and was a champion math student studying AP Calculus as a sophomore. Garrison’s classmates and friends remember him fondly by his comedy and his hard-work in art and music classes.

In Isaiah 60.20 we read, “Your sun shall no more go down, nor your moon withdraw itself; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended” (English Standard Version).

Garrison’s family would like all those who loved him and are mourning his passing to keep the words from the prophet Isaiah near to their heart during this difficult time.

Garrison will be remembered by his quick wit, intelligence, and many talents. Garrison’s family prays that many people will be pointed to the Lord through his passing. Garrison is loved fiercely by his family and friends, and will be missed more than he knows. We love you, Garrison!
