George C. Plank

George C. Plank, 84, of Gap, died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Fairmount Homes.

Born in Gap, he was a son of the late Ellis and Laura (Stanley) Plank. He was married 57 years to JoAnn (Sandoe) Plank.

George worked for 21 years, retiring in 1998, from High Steel as an Equipment Painter.

He was a member of Camp Shorthorn in Potter County, a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association, and a former member of the Honey Brook Rod & Gun Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Andrea, married to Douglas Burkey of Paradise, Dean, married to Sherry Plank of Gap, and Tony, married to Sharon Fox of Pinebluff, NC; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are five brothers, Charles, Donald, Robert, Paul, and John Plank; and four sisters, Dorothy Stern, Ruth Harrington, Ellen Bare, and Betty Jane Burkey.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 11 am at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Bruce H. Willier officiating. Interment will be in the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm and on Thursday from 10-11 am.
