Geraldine Iris Ranck

Geraldine Iris Ranck, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 17, 2014. She was born in New Holland, PA, daughter of Harold and Dorothy Bensinger. Married to her beloved husband Wayne Ranck on April 15, 1982, preceded in death by her first husband John Robert Gabriel. She is survived by her sister Jackie, wife of Jack Serena, VA, daughter Vickie Lynn Kave, wife of Brian, Lexington, VA, two sons Robert Bruce Gabriel, husband of Susan, Brickerville, and John Wesley Gabriel, husband of Carolyn, York, step daughter Deborah Gavalchik, wife of Steve, West Liberty, KY, and six great grandchildren.

Jerry graduated from New Holland High School in 1949, and The Coatesville Hospital Nursing School 1951. Jerry was a passionate and dedicated nurse for 40 years. She was an active member of: Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster, Dance of the Month Club, the Iris Club, and the Red Hats. Along with her husband Wayne, she enjoyed their extensive travels around the world throughout their marriage. Her greatest passion, love and joy were her family. She enjoyed dancing, entertaining, growing orchids and being with her friends. She had volunteered with Adult Literacy Program and Rape Crisis Counseling.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept.20, at 4 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland, presided by Deacon Augustus G. Mauro. There will be a private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Mennonite Care Community, 2001, Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
