Glenn B. Gockley, 78, of Mohnton, died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at his home after a battle with Parkinson’s.
Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Harry and Esther (Witmer) Gockley. He was married 59 years on Feb. 25 to Margaret (Weber) Gockley.
Glenn was a dairy farmer and a member of Gehman Mennonite Church and Gideons International. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Oak Vista Lodge in Tioga County.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Betty, married to Jeffrey Yunginger of Mohnton, Brenda, married to Ted Brubaker of Stevens, Galen, married to Donna (Sauder) Gockley of Carthage, NY, Darrell, married to Loretta (Clisham) Gockley of Reinholds, and Lamar, married to Michelle (Arment) Gockley of Mohnton; a daughter-in-law, Shelby (Landis) Gockley of Denver; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kay, married to Jim Landis of Hamburg, and Jean Frysinger of Lititz; and a brother, Sidney, married to Donna (Horst) Gockley of Mohnton.
Preceding him in death is a son, Nelson Gockley; a grandson, Trevor Gockley; and two brothers, Charles and Lynn Gockley.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29 at 10 am at Gehman Mennonite Church, 127 Witmer Road, Reinholds, with the Reverend Phil Horning and the Reverend Glen D. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Gehman Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 28 from 3–5 PM and on Monday from 9-10 AM at the Church.
