Grace L. Weaver

Grace Weaver, 94, of New Holland, went to meet her Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015, at Garden Spot Village. She is survived by her husband Earl F. Weaver, with whom she celebrated over 73 years of marriage.

Born in Strasburg Township, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Gertrude (Buckwalter) Lefever.

In earlier years, Grace assisted at Weaver Memorials, New Holland, with her husband Earl. She was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and enjoyed coordinating meals at various church functions. She had served on the Board of the New Holland Early Learning Center and the Auxiliary of Landis Homes. She had the gift of hospitality and opened their home to Fresh Air children as well as MCC International Volunteers. Grace was an avid Scrabble player and loved reading the Bible, traveling, raising houseplants, reciting poetry, and spending time with family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Grant, married to Miranda (Montclar) Weaver, of Buckley, WA, Violet, married to Ken Kreider, of Manheim, Steven Weaver of Lititz, Tom, married to Lori (Prussner) Weaver, of Lancaster, and Lori Weaver of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a brother, James B. Lefever, of Kirkwood.

Services will be held at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557, on Monday, December 21, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Pastor C. Kenneth Martin officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Chapel. Interment will be in New Holland Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Grace’s honor to G.S.V. Benevolent Fund, address above.
