Grace Mastros

Grace Diller Mastros, passed away January 9, 2013, at Arcadia at Manor Care of Lancaster.

Born on October 13, 1919 in Intercourse, PA, the daughter of the late Harry R. and Grace Caldwell Diller, one of nine children. She was the widow of Michael A. Mastros, who passed away on September 11, 2002, having celebrated 56 years of marriage. Grace graduated from East Lampeter High School and Bryland Hair Institute. She was a self employed beautician, having her shop in her home in Lancaster for over 45 years. She was a 60 year member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Lancaster. She enjoyed entertaining in her home and gardening.


She is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. Mastros, of Goodyear, Arizona and her three "granddogs" Chloe, Mazie and Jazzy. Also surviving are her sisters Gladys D. Carter of Chambersburg, Edith D. wife of Paul Girvin of Intercourse and her brother Robert C. wife of Joan Siderio Diller of Lancaster and brother in law Harold C. Good of Mount Joy. Also, nieces and nephews, Judy wife of Tom Garman Sr. of Lancaster, Hal Good Jr. wife of Penny of Corolla NC, Nancy Kachniasz wife of Steve of Elizabethtown, Coleen Tabler wife of Edward of Middletown MD, John G. Diller husband of Gail of Lancaster, Rhonda George wife of Jeryl of Orrstown PA, Robert Diller Jr. husband of Wendy of Lititz and Philip Diller husband of Kelly of Akron and their families.


She was predeceased by siblings William C. and Flora L. Diller, Lillie Diller Good, Helen Diller and George W. Bair, Ethel Diller and Paul E. Zimmerman, and Harry C. and Jane K. Diller and nephew Francis L. Diller.


A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, 221 East Main St., New Holland, PA, officiated by longtime family friend, Rev. Deborah K. Scheffey of Kresgeville PA.


The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Arcadia at ManorCare, Lancaster, for their dedicated care of Grace, and caring and love from Debra A. Hagerty of Lancaster.
