Harold S. Reed

Harold S. Reed, 87, of Terre Hill, died Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Fairmount Homes. His wife, Ethel M. (Martin) Reed, preceded him in death in 2010.

Bron in East Earl Twp., he was the son of the late Harvey and Ruth (Sensenig) Reed.

Harold was a service writer at Tyson Foods and had also served as a pastor at Goodville Mennonite Church for 30 years.

He was a member at Goodville Mennonite Church and enjoyed golfing, traveling and attending Gospel concerts. He had served in the Navy on the ship USS Northampton from 1956-1960.

Surviving are two children: Linford Ray married to Lynn (Ritter) Reed, Akron and Rondi married to Raymond Hoover, Denver, five grandchildren: Kellyn Hoover, Corbin Hoover, Kalea Cedeno, Jana Reed, and Kate Strayer, five great-grandchildren, a brother Lamar married to Irene (Martin) Reed and a sister-in-law, Grace (Martin) Reed.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Snader and a brother Marvin Reed.

His funeral will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11 AM at Goodville Mennonite Church. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 AM. Kindly omit flowers.
