Harrison M. Shirk

Harrison M. Shirk, 97, formerly of New Holland, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Landis Homes. He was married 67 years to the late Peggy L. Shirk who died in 2021.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Eli and Ruth Marshall Shirk

Harrison had worked many years at Lancaster Malleable Corporation

He was a member of Word of Life Deaf Lutheran Church. Harrison enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing but he was the happiest when he was spending time with his family.

Surviving are two daughters, Paula Yanke married to Donald and Grace Shirk-Emmons married to Jeffrey, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Terry H. Shirk; a sister Ruth Atkinson; and brothers,

Robert, Dale and Gilbert Shirk.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family with Pastor Russell Rockwell officiating. Interment will be in Terre Hill Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
