Harry Hoover Garman

Harry H. Garman, 75, of Narvon, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

He was the husband of Mary Ann Martin Garman with whom he shared 54 years of marriage on March 12th. Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Noah S. and Emma Weaver Hoover Garman.

Harry was a retired farmer and a member of the Churchtown Mennonite Church, (Groffdale Conference).

Surviving besides his wife are five sons, Kenneth husband of Mabel Leid Garman of Shelly, OH, Steven husband of Martha Leid Garman of Tiro, OH, John Richard husband of Anna Mary Reiff Garman, and James Ray husband of Susan Burkholder Garman both of Plymouth, OH, and Keith husband of Cheryl Brubaker Garman of Narvon; a daughter, Regina wife of David Ray Horning of Ioana, IA; 32 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and siblings, Anna Nolt of Martinsburg, Esther Garman of East Earl, Martha wife of Amos Martin of New Holland, Suetta Garman of Martinsburg, Allen husband of Miriam Garman of Woodbury, Titus husband of Lois Garman of Martinsburg, Mary wife of Irvin Horst of East Earl, Erma wife of Harold Martin of Greenwich, OH, and Leroy husband of Janet Garman of Martinsburg; and a brother-in-law, Franklin Hoover of New Holland. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott, a great granddaughter, Michelle Hope, brother Edwin and Paul Garman, and by sisters Esther Hoover, and Ella Newswanger, and by brothers-in-law, Noah Newswanger and Paul Nolt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 16, at 9:30 A.M. at the Churchtown Mennonite Church, 2207 Main St, Narvon, PA with Bishop Marvin Nolt officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the late home, 6130 Division Highway, Narvon, PA on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Arrangements by the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, PA.
