Harry H. Harsh

Harry H. Harsh, 80, of New Holland, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, February 5th, 2016. He was the loving husband of Myra A. (Sweigart) Harsh, with whom he shared over 59 years of marriage.


Born April 4, 1935 in Gap, Harry was a son of the late Clair A. and Esther S. (Howe) Harsh. He worked as an equipment operator for D.M. Stoltzfus for over 35 years. In his spare time he enjoyed listening to baseball (especially the Phillies), fishing, visiting the mountains, and spending time with his family.


Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Harry E. Harsh, husband of Jacqueline, of Gordonville, and Ronald E. Harsh, husband of Julie, of New Holland; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild on the way.


Harry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert C. and Richard G. Harsh.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 11 AM at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland PA 17557 with James Fannin officiating. Interment will be in Zeltenreich’s Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. To send the family online condolences visit us at www.groffeckenroth.com.
