Harvey R. Zimmerman

Harvey R. Zimmerman, 80, of Ephrata, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in East Earl, he was the son of late Harvey B. and Alice H. (Good) Zimmerman.

He was the loving husband of Mary Jane (Groff) Zimmerman, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Harvey was a member of Petra Church and was a self-employed home builder and remodeler, previously in a partnership, Zimmerman Zeiset Builder. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at the family cabin in Huntingdon County and going on the annual family camping trip to Knoebels. He enjoyed going to gospel music gatherings, spending time with his family and was a very faithful Christian.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Mary Jane, children, Donna wife of Neal Zimmerman, Deb wife of Barry Herman, Delbert husband of Rhonda (Walshaw) Zimmerman, Denise Kattau and Dana wife of Addison Waite, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Mary Jane (Allen) Kurtz, LeRoy (Lillian) Zimmerman, Joyce (Sam) Kulp, Mahlon (Carol) Zimmerman, Richard (Betty) Zimmerman, Leonard (Miriam) Zimmerman, Henry (Sharon) Zimmerman, Margaret (Earl) Martin, Sandra Nolt, and Linford (Kim) Zimmerman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Chad Michael Herman and siblings, Janet (Tom) Frame, Gene (Faye) Zimmerman, Pauline (Larry) Martin and Curvin (Lois) Zimmerman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Petra Church, 565 Airport Road, New Holland PA 17557. A Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday and on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the church. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
