Harvey S. Sauder

Harvey S. Sauder, 76, of New Holland, passed away on November 25, 2023 in his residence.

Born on the family farm, he was the son of the late John M. Sauder and Katie (Snyder) Sauder Nolt.

He was the husband of Grace I. (Weber) Sauder, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

He attended Hahnstown United Zion Church and was employed at Tyson Foods for 26 years. He had also previously worked for Kings Potato Chips and was a farmer his whole life.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Grace and his children; Lois (William) Pfautz of Ephrata, Donna (Edmund) O’Brassill of Ephrata, John (Lena) Sauder of Dundee, NY, Melvin Sauder of New Holland, Brenda (Evan) Martin of Ephrata, David (Rachel) Sauder of Lima, OH, Eunice (Barry) Wenger of Denver and Sarah (Amos) Hoover of Rock Stream, NY. Also surviving are 36 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and sisters; Ruth (Jody) Ansel, Irene Haas and Esther (Francis) McGill.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister; Alta Sauder.

The family would like to give thanks to Hospice for All Seasons, especially Michy, Tammy, Joyce, Nicole, Coryn and Chaplain Rick.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hahnstown United Zion Church, 900 Glenwood Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522 with Pastor Cleason Martin officiating. There will be a viewing held for one hour prior to the service and on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the church. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hahnstown United Zion Church at 1031 Valley View Rd, New Holland, PA 17557.
