Hazel M. Kling

Hazel M. Kling, 98, died Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 2012, at Garden Spot Village, New Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Kling in 1983 after 48 years of marriage.

Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Elizabeth (Wiker) Wallace. She graduated from New Holland High School in 1932.

She was a member of Zeltenreich Reformed Church, formerly Zeltenreich UCC, for over 75 years.

A homemaker, she enjoyed being with her family.

Hazel is survived by her daughter Sally, wife of Warren Shirk, of New Holland. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Lisa, wife of Paul Scharr of New London, and Michael, husband of Julie (Beamesderfer) Shirk, and five great-grandchildren, Selina and Leanne Scharr, and Ryan, Maya and Ella Shirk. A nephew also survives, Dr. John Yunginger of Rochester, MN.

She was preceded in death by a sister Ethel Yunginger.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Garden Spot Village Chapel with the Rev. Grace Shirk and Pastor Stephen Arrick officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Chapel from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
