Helen Emily Kon

Helen E. Kon, 80, of Narvon, passed away at home on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

She was the wife of the late Jan A. “John” Kon, Jr. who died in 2000. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Emilie Geiger Ulmer.

Helen retired from Shady Maple Smorgasbord where she had been employed as a breakfast cook. She was a member of St. John Center Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her cheesecake and crumb cake. Helen enjoyed participating in the ELCA Women’s Group at church and spending time at Myrtle Beach. Although she had numerous health issues, they never stopped her from doing what she wanted to do.

Surviving is a daughter, Sandra Sampson of Narvon and a grand puppy named Simba. She was preceded in death by a brother, William T. Ulmer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Center Lutheran Church, 599 Reading Road, East Earl, PA. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Kon’s memory may be made to St. John Center Lutheran Church.
