Helen M. Weaver

Helen M. Weaver, 78, of 6247 Main St., Cambridge, died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lincoln, PA she was the daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Miller) Weaver. She was married 59 years on January 31 to Roy S. Weaver.

She was a homemaker most of her life but most recently worked for 20 years as the “Candy Lady” at Shady Maple Farm Market in East Earl.

She was a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship in Morgantown and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Roland, married to Beulah (Stoltzfus) Weaver of Hibbing, MN; a daughter, Linda, married to Donald Good of Honey Brook; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Ruth, married to Larry Cashweiler of East Earl, Roy, married to Thelma (Pfautz) Weaver of New Holland, Betty, married to Marvin Bennetch of Cocalico , Richard, married to Trudy (Auker) Weaver of Schoeneck, and Kathryn, married to Carl "Cork" Hertzog of Ephrata.

Preceding her in death is a daughter, Susan Martin; and a sister, Arlene Warner.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, with the Reverends Roland Weaver, Alvin Horning, and James Hertzler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 10-11 am.
