Hillary J. (Smith) Gary, 40, of Narvon, formerly of Honesdale, passed away on April 14, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital after a short battle with breast cancer.

Born in Honesdale, she was the daughter of Charles Edwin and Frances Beth (Shields) Smith.

She was the wife of Eric D. Gary, with whom she married on July 3, 2014 and shared 9 years of marriage.

She was a Mary Kay Consultant for the last 14 years and was an active and faithful member of Pine Grove Church, where she served on the women’s ministry, young women’s ministry and young adult ministry. She enjoyed painting and traveling, including many missions trips.

Hillary is survived by her husband, Eric, her parents, Charles and Frances Smith, brothers, Fred husband of Amy Smith, Rick husband of Ellen Smith, Chad Smith fiancé of Deanna Miletta, Derrick husband of Julie Smith and Nathan husband of Kendra Smith and sister, Amanda wife of Jim MacDougall. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, her in laws, Coley husband of Barbara Gary and sister-in-law, Ilar wife of George Adens.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Narvon PA 17555 with Pastor Shane Symolon officiating. A Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the time of service in the church. Burial in Bowmansville Union Cemetery.
