Homer H. Nolt

Homer H. Nolt, 68, husband of Miriam E. (Sensenig) Nolt, White Oak Road, New Holland, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in a truck accident.

Born in Pequea, he was the son of the late Harvey S. and Elizabeth (Horst) Nolt. He was married to Miriam E. (Sensenig) Nolt.

Homer has worked for the past 40 years as a self-employed long distance truck driver. He was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church and a salesman at heart.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Sheila R. Nolt, Reading, a son Kent L., married to Melanie (Souder) Nolt, Leola, a son Wendell N., married to Julie (Beachy) Nolt, Sinking Spring, a daughter Danae Y., married to Marcus Mast, Millersburg, Ohio, and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Marian, married to Paul Rissler, California, MO, Elma, married to Melvin Sensenig, Denver, and Anna Mary (late Elmer) Zimmerman, East Earl, and five brothers, Samuel, married to Florence Nolt, East Greenville, John J., married to Lena Nolt, Ephrata, Ervin, married to Ada Nolt, California, MO, Elmer, married to Lena Nolt, and Melvin, married to Miriam Nolt, both of Sarasota, FL.

He was preceded in death by a sister Alda Weaver and his parents Harvey S. and Elizabeth (Horst) Nolt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 3 PM at the Martindale Mennonite Church with the Reverends Eugene Weaver and Daryl Weaver and Deacon Luke Weaver. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 2-3 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
