Irvin D. Hartz

Irvin D. Hartz, 86, of Morgantown, died Monday, May 4, 2020 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center.

Born in Elverson, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mattie (King) Hartz. His wife, Delores (Mull) Hartz, died June 14, 1999.

Irvin worked as a miner for many years at Grace Mines in Morgantown.

He enjoyed umpiring and attending baseball and softball games, dancing, traveling with a local band, riding motorcycles, and hunting.

Surviving are three children, Sandra (Ronald) Bressler, Chester Daniel Hartz, and Randall (Tina) Hartz; five grandchildren, Ronald (Bekah) Immel, Cortney (Preston) Eshelman, Morgan (Alicia) Bressler, Brandee (Cody) Lansdowne, and Lachen Hartz; and nine great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown.
