Isabella Y. Kelly

Isabella Y. Kelly, 88, of New Holland, passed away on June 15, 2026, at Garden Spot Village. Isabella was born in Philadelphia, to her late parents, Samuel S. Young, Sr. and Catherine (Myers) Young.

Isabella grew up in South Philadelphia and graduated from Girls High School. Following graduation, she enrolled in nursing school at Jefferson Medical College and Nursing School in Philadelphia. Following graduation, Isabella worked as a nurse at Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia. Later in life she worked as an industrial nurse at Atlantic Refining Company and retired from Arco Chemical in 1997. In her adult life, she lived in Delaware County and following retirement, she moved to Garden Spot Village.

Faith was a large part of Isabella’s life. She was a member of The Blue Church in Springfield, Delaware County. Upon moving to Garden Spot Village, she became a member of Christian Fellowship Church in New Holland. She enjoyed her weekly lady’s bible study at Garden Spot Village and the community that it brought to her life. She cherished traveling and being surrounded by her family and friends. Some of Isabella’s fondest memories were the times she spent at the family summer home in Laurel Lake, New Jersey. Isabella was an avid water skier and would amaze everyone by skiing and never getting her hair wet!

Isabella is survived by her son, Kenneth W. Kelly, and his wife Mary Beth, of Glen Mills, PA, and her grandchildren, Ryan and Jenna Kelly. She is also survived by her siblings, Samuel S. Young, Jr., and Linda Young.

In addition to her parents, Isabella was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Page.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, at The Chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, with Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. A visitation will be held with the family beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
