Jack B. Francisco, 91, of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA died December 14, 2013 after a brief illness.
He was born in St. Petersburg, Clarion County, PA to John and Almeda (Logue) Francisco. He served 36 months in World War ll, 18 months with the 7th Division in the Asiatic Theater on Attu Island.
After the war, he graduated from Grove City College (B. S. Chemistry) and the University of Pittsburgh, (M.S. Chemical Engineering).
His entire career was spent in development/manufacturing of various plastics. He was with General Tire, Akron OH for 6 years and the NVF Co. in Kennett Square, PA for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet (Panton) Francisco and two daughters: Judge Paula Francisco Ott (Ray), West Chester, PA and Brenda Graupensperger (Robert), Lancaster, PA; two grandsons: Dr. Kurt Graupensperger (Megan) and Eric Graupensperger; and two great granddaughters Regan and McKinley Graupensperger.
He was predeceased by a brother, Wendell Francisco and a sister, Grace Shoup.
Services will be held on Friday, December 20 at 1 p.m. at the Garden Spot Village Chapel with Chaplain Chet Yoder and Pastor Jack Estep officiating. Interment will be in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel on Friday from 12:30 to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Community Church at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557 or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Chester County, Inc., P. O. Box 50, Coatesville, PA 19320. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
