Jack W. Muhlenberg

Jack W. Muhlenberg, 86, of Robeson Twp., died Friday, April 13, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Morgantown, he was the son of the late J. Webster and Margaret (Groff) Muhlenberg. He was married 60 years on February 14 to Mary (Witwer) Muhlenberg.

Jack began work in 1956 as a Miner for Bethlehem Steel at Grace Mines until the late 1970’s. After his retirement he bred, raced, and provided a good home for retired thoroughbred horses.

He was a member of the South End Gun Club and the Kentucky Rifle Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Lori Muhlenberg, also of Robeson Twp.; and a niece, Ella Muhlenberg of Grantville, PA.

Preceding him in death is a brother, C. Howard Muhlenberg.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 am at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill with the Reverend Luther Routte officiating. Interment will be in the Caernarvon Cemetery in Morgantown. Viewing will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10-11 am.
