Jacqueline Bonnett, 95, of New Holland, formerly of Havertown, died peacefully January 15, 2014 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland.
Born in Charny, Quebec, Canada the daughter of James and Georgianne (Samson) Hethrington. Her husband, Hermas O. Bonnett, died in 2002.
Jacqueline worked for 20 years as a translator for the International Upholsters Union. She was a member of the Community Church at Garden Spot Village and the Artists Guild of West Chester. She was also an accomplished seamstress.
Surviving are three children, Lillian, married to N. Ronald LeDonne of Chadds Ford, Charles Bonnett of Narberth, and Richard, married to Lori (Marinelli) Bonnett of Birdsboro; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Francoeur of Montreal, Quebec.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 10:30 am at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, with Chaplain Chester Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 131 S. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
