James D. Boley, 84, of 1382 Briertown Road, East Earl, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Means) Boley. He would have been married 15 years on March 29 to Lillian (Nuse) Boley. He worked at the former Frank Ix Silk Mill and later operated a scrap yard until his retirement in 1989. During WWII he served in the US Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Linda Reich and her companion Robert Kelley of Reamstown, Ruth, married to William Sipes of East Earl, and Tammy, married to Christopher Grazioli of East Earl; a son, Kim Nuse at home; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are three brothers, Warren, George, and Wayne Boley; and three sisters, Margaret Haas, Esther Palmer, and Ruth Boley. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24 at 10 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Mark M. Leaman officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeville Cemetery. Viewing will be on Thursday from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 9-10 am at the Funeral Home.
