James H. Ewell, 75, of Narvon, passed away on January 19, 2026 at Wellspan Ephrata Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late J. Herbert and Eleanor (Freas) Ewell.

He was the husband of the late Jane Marie (Campbell) Ewell, with whom he shared 14 years of marriage until the time of her passing on September 9, 2014.

Jim had grown up attending Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church and was a mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, riding horses, playing all of his many musical instruments, riding motorcycles and spending as much time in the outdoors as possible.

Jim is survived by his son, Robert J. Ewell, his sister, Mary Anne wife of Allan J. Skiles, six nieces; Sheri L. McVaugh, Sandi A. Crills, Stephanie J. Skiles, Stacie S. Plank, Shelby K. Mills and Jill M. Ewell and two nephews; Steven A.J. Skiles and John R. Ewell.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his son, Travis Ewell and brother, John B. Ewell.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
