GOD has taken one of HIS best home. James Duane Faus, 27 years old, of East Petersburg ended his Earthly journey on Thursday, April 19th. Jimmy was born on January 13th, 1985 in Altoona, Pa. Jimmy is survived by his parents, Troy Faus, & Marie Faus-Crawford, his brother, David Faus and sisters Krista Faus-Brown and Shelley Faus.
Jimmy was raised in New Holland where he was a graduate of Garden Spot High School in 2003. He was on the basketball team through most of his school years. Jimmy was an Eagles fan, he also loved the outdoors and his favorite bird was the eagle. He recently had the privilege of going on an eagle watching getaway weekend where he proposed to his girlfriend of 4 years, Adrianna Werner of Wernersville, Pa.
Jimmy completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2010. Up until his illness, Jimmy was employed by Forest View Construction, where he was a framer. A very caring man, Jimmy gave frequently to those less fortunate than he.
We will be sharing more of Jimmy’s journey at the chapel inside Garden Spot Village on Sunday, April 22nd from 2:30 pm-5pm. Garden Spot Village is located at 433 South Kinzer Ave. in New Holland, Pa. A service will be held from 5-6pm with a celebration of life gathering immediately proceeding at the indoor park at Garden Spot Village. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you send a donation to the Ronald McDonald house or the American Cancer Society in Jimmy’s name.
