James B. Getz

James B. “Sonny” Getz, 75, of Narvon, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline J. (O’Brien) Getz in 1995.

Born in Voganville, he was the son of the late James W. and Edith M. (Sweigart) Getz.

Sonny was involved in the automotive industry, both with sales and service.

Surviving are two sons: J. Darrin married to Denise (Doyle) Getz, Ephrata and R. Scott married to Christy (Dukeman) Getz, Holtwood and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Eloise A. Martin.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with Rev. Donald Lindman officiating. Interment will be in Bridgeville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 – 2 p.m. Online condolences may be posted at www.groffeckenroth.com.
