James M. Snyder

James M. Snyder, 54, of Narvon, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Sunrise Meadows Rehab Facility in Gordonville.

Born in Ephrata, he was the son of Paul S. Snyder of New Holland and the late Miriam H. (Martin) Snyder. He was married 30 years on June 25 to Susan Z. (Brubacher) Snyder.

James was working as a truck driver for A.B. Martin in Ephrata. Previously he had worked as a tractor mechanic for M.M. Weaver in Leola for 23 years.

He was attending Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Lancaster Conference.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are two children, Laverne, married to Alicia (Martin) Snyder of Ephrata, and Amber Snyder at home; and six brothers and sisters, Glenn, married to Janice (Weaver) Snyder of Denver, Paul, married to Jean (Hursh) Snyder of Shippensburg, Mervin, married to Loreen (Hursh) Snyder of Newville, Ruth Ann, married to Michael Burkholder of New Holland, Norma, married to Jay Paul Weaver of East Earl, and Gerald, married to Rhonda (Good) Snyder of New Holland.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14 at 10 am at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl with the Reverend Larry Weber, the Reverend Duane Ringler, and Paul Newswanger officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Monday from 9-10 am at the Church.
