James B. Steffy

James B. Steffy, 88, of Terre Hill Boro., passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Ethel J. (Heck) Steffy. They were married on June 13, 1951 and celebrated over 65 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Levi and Amanda (Beck) Steffy.

He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for over 25 years for Terre Hill Concrete as shop supervisor and mechanic until his retirement.

He was a member of Cocalico Propbusters, Inc. and the Academy of Model Aeronautics. He enjoyed building and flying R/C model airplanes and riding motorcycles.

Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Daniel J. Steffy, who lives in Terre Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, PA 17581 with Pastor Bradley Haws officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Ephrata. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 1-2 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
