James R. “Bob” Williams, 73, of 305 E. Main St., New Holland died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane (Whitekettle) Williams in 2011.
Born in Ravenna, OH he was the son of the late Walter W. Williams, Sr. and Catherine (McCallister) Williams.
Bob was employed by Sun Oil Co., operating tugs and tankers in Detroit, New York, and Philadelphia. He and Betty also owned the former B & B Tavern and Restaurant, Mohnton and the former B & B Lounge, New Holland.
One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was target shooting with his son.
Surviving is his son, George M. Buchanan, Jr. married to Linda, New Holland; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings: Maryann Wilson married to Gus, Grosse Ile, MI; Walter W. Williams, Jr. married to Joyce, Ada, OK; and Pat Christensen, Fayetteville, AR.
He was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Johnson.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Honey Brook United Methodist Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be sent to Hospice & Community Care, P. O.
