Jane E. Krewson

Jane E. Krewson of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA, died on May 11, 2024 at the age of 86.

She was a resident of Newtown, Buck County from 1960 until 2016 when she and her husband David moved to New Holland. She was born and raised in Carlisle, PA, where she graduated from Carlisle High School in 1955. She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing in 1958 and pursued a nursing career while living in Arlington, VA and Newtown for several years. She was later employed as a secretary in her husband’s law office for many years beginning in 1986 until her retirement in 2010.

She was active, as a Newtown resident, in a number of civic organizations including Newtown Century Club, a den mother, an active member of Pickering Manor Auxiliary, having served several times as a chairperson for its Charity Ball and its Spring Luncheon. She was an active member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church having served on the Board of Deacons, several different committees and was a choir member for over 45 years.

Her passions included not only her family and many treasured friends but music, gardening and golf.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, C. David Krewson and one son Thomas and his partner Stephen McGrane of Califon, NJ and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law James W. and Hilde L. Krewson of Harleysville, PA and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Garret John Krewson, her parents Thomas and Carrie, and sister Gladys Warner.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S Kinzer Avenue, New Holland PA 17557. A time of visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the chapel. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery at 2:30 PM, 600 Newtown Yardley Road, Newtown PA 18940.
