Janet Carol Dutter

Janet Carol Dutter passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2014 after a long illness. Her family was present at the time.

Janet was born in Luzerne, PA, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Stokes. She graduated from Luzerne High School. She is survived by her husband James. They were married for 58 years on June 9. She is also survived by her daughter Debra J. Heckman of Terre Hill, PA and her son James R. Dutter of Lansdale, PA. Janet was a loving grandmother and is survived by her 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Janet previously lived in Lansdale, PA for 39 years with her husband until relocating to Fivepointville, PA in 2000. Janet was retired from the microelectronics industry. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Maple Hill Cemetery, Ashley, PA.
