Janet P. Francisco

Janet (Panton) Francisco, 99, passed away peacefully at Garden Spot Village, on February 27, 2025. Janet was born on January 26, 1926, in Foxburg, PA, to her late parents, Howard and America (Sheats) Panton. Her husband of 64 years, Jack Francisco, passed away in 2013.

Janet graduated from Temple University in 1947 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught home economics at Unionville High School from 1972 until 1986 and was head of the department.

When not raising her family or in the classroom, Janet taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and sang in choirs of the churches she and her family attended in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She also taught Good News Club in both states. She served on the board of the Christian Women’s Club in Akron, OH and Wilmington, DE.

Janet is survived by her children, Judge Paula Francisco Ott, wife of Ray, of West Chester, PA, and Brenda Graupensperger, wife of Robert, of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Kurt Graupensperger, husband of Megan, of Lebanon, PA, Eric Graupensperger, husband of Laura, of Lancaster, PA and great grandchildren, Regan, McKinley, and Mae Graupensperger.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Community Church at Garden Spot Village, c/o Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA 17557.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
